 Security officers and supervisors are trained by South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) certified instructors. Training is documented. Candidates must pass a SLED background investigation, urinalyses, and pass a mandatory SLED Core Curriculum Plus training exam such as:

  • Use of deadly force

  • Transportation/movement of prisoners

  • Arrest reporting and local law enforcement

  • Criminal domestic violence arrests

Security officers receive additional classroom and site specific training based on their positions and client requirements, and when regulations and training requirement change, or new information is available. Security officers also receive refresher training yearly. Security officers are routinely inspected for professional appearance and knowledge by visiting security supervisors or staff. Onsite guard training is conducted by supervisors and staff at various times.

 Our car patrol division is mobile 24 hours a day. Our security officers are armed and prepared to check your site randomly or on a schedule. Car patrol visits to your site are a dynamic deterrent to crime and a cost effective alternative to on site guard security. At every visit the patrol officer will check your site in the vehicle with an active, bright light bar and will exit the vehicle to patrol on foot.

Consultation

 

ISA provides support services to corporate security organizations, including general assessments of current security programs and the development of security policies, procedures, design guidelines, and standards specific to the industry and location.

ISA conducts assessments to develop both general and specific recommendations for security policies and procedures, security post orders, physical security programs, contingency and disaster recovery planning, and other countermeasures for identified risks. Standard risk assessment methodologies are applied to each assessment, providing an objective third-party evaluation.
